How to Make Chaga Tea (Easy Recipe)

Chaga tea is a warm, earthy, antioxidant-rich ritual – and it's easy to make. Here are two ways: the quick modern method with extract powder, and the traditional simmered method.

Quick method (1 minute)

  • 1/2 tsp Chaga extract powder
  • 1 cup hot (not boiling) water
  • Optional: honey, cinnamon, or a splash of milk
  1. Add the Chaga powder to a mug.
  2. Pour over hot water and stir well.
  3. Sweeten or spice to taste and enjoy.

Traditional method (simmered)

If you have dried Chaga chunks, simmer 1–2 teaspoons of chunks in 3–4 cups of water on low for 1–2 hours (don't boil hard). Strain and enjoy; you can re-use the chunks a few times.

Flavour tips

  • Chai-style: add cinnamon, cardamom and a little maple syrup.
  • Latte: froth in warm milk for a Chaga latte.
  • Iced: brew strong, chill, and pour over ice.
