Spirulina is a blue-green cyanobacterium grown in warm alkaline water, and it is one of the most protein-dense foods on the planet by weight. Unlike chlorella it has no tough cell wall, so nothing needs to be broken open. What does matter is how it is grown and dried, because heat and light strip the deep blue-green pigment that gives good spirulina its colour. Ours is dried gently for exactly that reason.

How to use it: take the tablets with water at any time of day. If you have tried spirulina powder and could not get past the taste, this is the version that tends to stick.
