Chlorella is a single-celled freshwater green algae and one of the most concentrated whole-food sources of chlorophyll on the planet — which is exactly why this powder is such an intense green.
The cell wall is the whole story with chlorella. Left intact, that tough cellulose shell passes straight through you; ours is mechanically broken so the contents are available. We also dry it using a very low heat (VLT) process instead of high-heat spray drying, which is gentler on heat-sensitive nutrients. It is grown in Hawaii in freshwater pools fortified with deep-sea mineral water, then tested and packed in Ontario.

How to use: Start with 1/2 teaspoon daily and build to 1 to 2 teaspoons. Mix into smoothies, juice or water. Chlorella tastes strongly green and grassy — blending it with banana, mango or pineapple makes it much easier.
