How to prepare nutrient agar
Directions:

Prepare the Mixture:
- Pour the entire package (10 grams) into a saucepan or a heat-resistant glass measuring cup.
- Add 500ml (approximately 2 cups) of water.
- Stir thoroughly until fully dissolved.

Heat the Mixture:
- Stovetop: Heat slowly over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until it just begins to boil.
- Microwave: Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture starts to bubble or boil.

Pour & Cool:
- Once boiling, carefully pour the mixture into petri dishes.
- Allow it to cool and solidify before use.
⚠️ Important for Mycology:
- To ensure sterility, the mixture must be pressure sterilized in an autoclave or pressure cooker before pouring into petri dishes.
