An even 50/50 blend of broken cell wall chlorella and spirulina — two classic greens, combined in one pouch, in one pouch.

They cover different ground. Chlorella is the chlorophyll one, and its tough cellulose cell wall is mechanically broken so the contents are actually available to you. Spirulina brings complete protein, B vitamins, iron and phycocyanin, the blue pigment. Both are grown in Hawaii in freshwater pools fortified with deep-sea mineral water and dried with a very low heat (VLT) process rather than high-heat spray drying, then tested and packed in Ontario.

Who it's for: daily smoothie drinkers who want both chlorella and spirulina without measuring two powders. Prefer no taste? The same 50/50 ratio comes in tablet form.

How to use: Start with 1/2 teaspoon daily and build to 1 to 2 teaspoons. Mix into smoothies, juice or water. It tastes strongly green — banana, mango or berries smooth it out considerably.

Recommended use: Source of antioxidants.
