Why packaging matters
Good packaging has two jobs: protect what is inside and avoid unnecessary material. At Ecogenya, we pay attention to both. Ingredients and quality come first, but the package that carries a product into your home matters too.
Conventional supplement bottles are familiar and durable, yet they also use a significant amount of rigid plastic. We chose resealable kraft pouches because they protect our products while using substantially less plastic and taking up less space during storage and shipping.
Kraft packaging across Ecogenya
Our kraft packaging is not limited to moringa. We use kraft pouches across the Ecogenya range, including our mushroom extracts, chlorella, spirulina and other superfoods, botanicals, capsules, tablets, powders, and pet products.
The package may change in size to suit the product, but the purpose stays the same: a practical, lightweight pouch that is easy to reseal and helps reduce unnecessary packaging. Choosing a kraft pouch instead of a bottle does not change the product formula or quality inside.
Kraft bags vs. plastic bottles
Compared with a conventional rigid supplement bottle, an Ecogenya kraft pouch offers several practical advantages:
- Less rigid plastic: A flexible pouch avoids the thick plastic walls of a conventional supplement bottle.
- Compact when empty: Once the product is finished, the pouch can be flattened instead of leaving a bulky container.
- Practical everyday access: The resealable opening makes it easy to reach the contents and close the pouch between uses.
Product protection and freshness
Packaging still has an essential job: protecting the ingredients you bring home. Across our human and pet ranges, reducing plastic needs to go hand in hand with suitable packaging and careful storage.
For dry products, keep the pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use clean, dry utensils, keep powder or crumbs out of the zipper, and close it fully after each use. Follow the storage directions on your particular product, including any instructions that apply after opening or preparation.
Protect the pouch from punctures and keep it out of reach of children and pets. If you prefer an outer storage container, you can place the original pouch inside it. Keeping the packaging also keeps the ingredients, directions, lot number, and date information close at hand.
Thoughtful progress, not perfect packaging
Our aim is straightforward: use less plastic while keeping packaging practical for the products inside. That approach matters across our human and pet products.
A kraft appearance alone does not tell you whether a pouch can be recycled or composted. Check your local program’s rules for the complete package, including any lining and closure. Only put it in recycling or organics if that program accepts it; otherwise, follow local disposal guidance.
Before disposal, an empty, clean, dry pouch may also be useful for storing small non-food items.
